Support for Men & Boys

Dedicated resources and information for male survivors of domestic abuse.

You Are Not Alone
It can be difficult to talk about abuse, but reaching out is a sign of strength. Helplines like the Men's Advice Line (0808 801 0327) and ManKind Initiative (01823 334244) are confidential and staffed by people who understand. You can also find support services on our Rapid Connect page.
Recognising Abuse
Abuse against men and boys is not always physical.

Abuse can take many forms, including emotional, verbal, financial, and sexual abuse. It can involve coercive control, where a partner or family member uses patterns of intimidation, degradation, and isolation to control you. It's abuse whether it comes from a man or a woman. Statistics (UK)
It's more common than you think. Your experiences are valid.
  • In the year ending March 2023, an estimated 751,000 men aged 16 and over experienced domestic abuse in England and Wales.
  • Approximately 1 in 6 men will experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetime.
  • Despite this, men are often less likely to report abuse or seek help due to societal pressures and stigma.
